Economic Sociology at Work: A Case-Study on Volunteer-Generated Social Capital in Richmond

In addition to its direct consultation services, CGSSE also conducts and oversees empirical case studies in order to promote innovative volunteer-based solutions to problems facing cities nationwide. For this project, Executive Director Kevin Wilson worked with the University of Richmond and local administration to lead a multi-year study of volunteer efforts to address poverty taking place in the City of Richmond. To read more about the volunteer-fueled innovations being put in place, and to see the results of this case-study, check back soon.
